Junior Lessons -supported by CR Tennis Club
In recent years Tennis Canada / Tennis BC have radically changed their approach to their way of coaching tennis with the introduction of Progressive Tennis. We will be using progressive tennis balls for the majority of each lesson. Tennis is a great and fun game to play and the quicker and more skillfully a player can play the more fun it is. We are trying to encourage tennis as a lifelong sport, teach some basics skills and have fun.
The lessons are designed from beginners to intermediate players. Everyone is welcome! Coach Larmour says, "I've always promoted tennis as a reasonable sport that can be played anywhere, I always tell kids, you only need 2 people, 2 racquets, a few balls, 30-45 minutes and you'll find courts everywhere.....I truly believe it is a wonderful lifelong hobby and I want to see kids learn proper form and techniques, have fun and learn a new hobby."
Brent Larmour is a teacher and coach of the very successful SD 72 Tennis Club.
This is a free program for children and youth and the CR Tennis Club helps to subsidize the program by providing money for equipment (balls and racquets).
The Junior program will be starting at the Willow Point Courts in May, 2025 for elementary and middle school children. The program will run for 6 weeks. Please contact Brent if you wish to donate balls, racquets or if you need more information about the Junior Program. Program: [email protected].
